ID Catalyst 2004
is a collaborative, two-day intensive workshop (Dec 16 & 17 th, 2004) for South Asian Industrial Design professionals. The workshop is sponsored/organised by Titan Industries Ltd. and Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology, Bangalore, India.

ID Catalyst 2004 has been conceptualized as a focused forum that combines formal and informal spaces with intimate and group interactions, to facilitate active engagement of Industrial Design professionals of the South Asian region, with contemporary theory and emerging practices that are globally competitive and locally appropriate.

We have designed the workshop so that real learning is fostered and you can develop a new perspective of your work and practice, as well as the future of Industrial Design.

We invite participation from practitioners, managers, researchers and faculty of Industrial Design from India and the South Asian region. Please note that participants will be limited to 40, so as to ensure quality and promote an optimum learning environment.



Some of the world's renowned Industrial Design professionals will be your facilitators. Come, examine their work and share your work as well! (Each participant will showcase ONE significant work from his/her portfolio). Exchange knowledge, expertise and concerns with experts and peers!


Design Continuum and SonicRim have pioneered new methodologies and practices. Here is your opportunity to work hands-on with peers on design challenges and critique existing paradigms. Get a first-hand tutorial from the experts!


ID CATALYST 2004 is oriented to the future. Participants get a chance to discover common interests with others in their region. Titan and Srishti believe that the energy created within this workshop will lead to a common forum for Industrial Designers in the South Asian region.

Workshop Fees Indian Residents: 6000 INR
Others: 200 USD
(Above-mentioned fees cover workshop and materials costs only. Accommodation, food and travel costs are additional.)

Seventeen Srishti graduating students will exhibit their diploma project work in Visual Communication, Furniture and Interiors, Textiles and Contemporary Arts Practice.
